Wilmington - Hamilton Scott Jones, born on August 29, 1963, in Englewood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 20th, 2026 in Wilmington, NC at the age of 62.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Manhattan, NY with a degree in Media and Communication. He was dedicated and hardworking, putting his talents to work at The Meadowlands Sports Complex, Public Television, and Time Warner Cable, where he made life-long friendships. He later retired from Corning in Wilmington.

Outside of work, Hamilton loved film and theatre, both as performer and spectator. He was an avid sports fan-never missing a New Jersey Devils or New York Yankees game.

He was a devoted husband and father. He leaves behind his wife of twenty-five years, Tamara Jones; his beloved son, Levi Jones; and his brother, Bill Jones. His family was an important part of his life, and his love for them will continue to live on through the memories they share.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Jones and Helyn Robinson Jones.

Hamilton will be remembered for his faith, his strength, his hard work, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.
