Wilmington- Michael J. Mordusky (Mickey), beloved husband, father, grandfather, Vietnam veteran, and respected contractor, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on January 16, 1948, Mickey lived a life defined by service, hard work, and a deep love for family and friends. As a Vietnam veteran, he served his country with honor and courage. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career as a contractor, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. He took pride, not only in the work that he completed, but also in the relationships he built along the way.

Outside of work, Mickey loved golf and was an avid sports fan. Whether he was on the golf course, watching a game, or discussing the latest scores with friends and family. He found joy in the camaraderie that sports brought into his life.

What truly made Mickey special was his love for people. His warm smile, friendly nature, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel welcome. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life and leave them feeling like a friend. Mickey was loved by all who knew him and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Above all else, Mickey cherished his family. He was the beloved husband of Darlene Mordusky; and a loving father to his daughters, Tatum Halton and Michelle Deutscher (Matt Deutscher). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Gabrielle Halton, Giana Halton, Madison Deutscher, Landon Deutscher, Hudson Deutscher, and Brooklyn Deutscher, each of whom brought tremendous joy and pride to his life. Mickey is also survived by his sister, Patty LaFalce; and his beloved goddaughter, Lori LaFalce, along with many dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Mickey will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, generosity, and the extraordinary way he made others feel seen, valued, and loved. His life was a testament to the importance of family, friendship, and service. While his passing leaves a void in the hearts of those that loved him, they take comfort in the memories that he leaves behind and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate to know him. Mickey "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith" (Matthew 25:23).
